Happy Holidays from Dental Care of Vashon!

December 20, 2018

We have watched the rain fall, the puddles grow and the ground turn to colors of red and yellow leaves. Vashon can truly be a beautiful place to be during the fall season as long as you can enjoy the rainy weather. For most locals the rain doesn’t slow them down a bit. Our team here wants to share some of our favorite things to do to beat the rainy-day blues. During this time of year our assistant Christina uses the extra time indoors to relax and practice some meditation. Our hygienist Cheryl is turning the rock music up to dance and keep active while inside. There are so many ways to keep busy even in the rainy season.

We don’t have to wait too long before the rain turns to a chill, the puddles turn to ice and the ground starts to sparkle with frost. This year we all felt that it happened in a blink of an eye. The scarfs,
hats and mittens came out all at once. Many of us here have started new traditions this year with our family and friends. Our Hygienist Wanda has begun a tradition with her two daughters of setting up a holiday village scene that even has an ice-skating rink (check it out below)! Our office manager Kayla has started a tradition of decorating one tree outside her house to spread the holiday cheer. A tradition that our office has been doing for the last 3 years is a charitable donation to the Washington Council of the Blind. We look forward to supporting this organization every year and plan to do so in the future.

We all want to wish you a warm and safe Holiday season!
